"You were saying before, 'I liked someone, but what's the point now'. Now tell me, why should I allow you to come closer to me?"
My heart skipped a beat when he said the last line.
Okay, so we are getting back to us.
Finally.
Does he think I will also be one of those girls? I mean yes I do get cringy or cheesy sometimes but this is absolutely weird shit bro.
I am not like that.
"Did I talk or forced you to stay 24 hours?" I asked him politely.
"No. I'm not talking about 24 hours."
"Then?"
"The things I told you about them, they have done it in my presence. They even have sexual talks-"
"Have we ever done that?" I cut in between.
"Arey meri baat to sun lo."
(Arey at least listen to me)
"So?" I was pissed because he compared me those extra-clingy girls, but kept myself in control.
"You aren't listening to me."
"Say."
"They have sexual talks and met one day too. Now it's up to them whatever they might indulge in? But why are they doing those things?"
"They are responsible for their actions. Why are we stressing about it?"
"But that's the point! This is bound to happen. If a boy and a girl, who are attracted to each other will talk, this thing is bound to happen. They will indulge in physical things.
Now either stop a girl or a boy, because one of them will lose control eventually," he explained his point.
I kept quiet processing everything he just said.
"What are you thinking?" he broke the silence after a minute.
"I'm thinking.."
"Yea?"
"..that they interact all the time..."
"Hmm"
"..that's why this will happen."
"Nah. It's nothing like that"
"Why not?"
"Now you're scrolling Instagram, I'm talking about the boys. You'll see girls doing vulgar dances while scrolling reels. So the boy won't be affected? Won't he look at her?"
"Hmmm," I was about to explain my point but instead, let him talk.
He rarely gets in a talkative mood.
"You're getting seduced from everywhere, be it insta, youtube, or Facebook. Now tell me."
I kept quiet again.
Temptations are everywhere boy!
"So dude, live a tension-free life staying away from all this mess."
"Hmmm"
Single life, best life.
"Let me tell you another logical thing from a boy's point of view."
"Yeah"
"You like a girl, okay?"
'Don't tempt me or else I might become bisexual.' I thought, closing my eyes.
"Okay," I said.
"You don't have plans to marry anytime soon, then why do you chat?"
"Umm?" I raised my eyebrow, not sure about the answer.
"They talk because maybe in the future they can meet, or do any stuff together. Isn't it?"
"Oh yeah"
Sex.
Again.
I was right lol
"So, if you're only looking for sex, why are you ruining her life, or yours? You can spend some money and have it if you're too desperate for it. Get yourself satisfied daily. Tell me?"
"It's their problem naa!"
"So, if we sum up all the points, and get the same conclusion again and again, then what's the benefit of all this?"
"I'm not-"
"That's why-"
We spoke together but paused.
"I'm not talking about that." He kept quiet letting me complete my sentence.
"That's why I try to make you understand that stay away from this idiocy," he spoke after me.
"When did I get intoo oneee?" I stretched the last words, whining and sighing simultaneously.
"You like someone? It's okay to like 'em. I also like someone," my heart did a double beat as he said that line.
What does he mean by that?
He still likes me?
Or is he talking about someone else?
Or is he talking in general?
"But liking someone doesn't necessarily mean that you have to get into a relationship, talk 24/7, etc..," he continues with his opinion, unaware of the minor heart attacks he was giving me.
"Who's saying to talk 24 hours??" my voice increased with each word.
"24 hou-" he was about to say something but I didn't let him.
"And who's saying to vanish for 6 months!" I snapped, making him speechless.
Good job hayat!
"I didn't mean 6 months...... I'm......" He stuttered and said at last,
"I can't say anything about myself. I can vanish anytime."
"Yeah I know very well," I mumbled
"Some day this number can be unavailable."
"Yeah, I know."
'I wonder how it's still working,' I thought rolling my eyes.
(Kyuki main dimag se bohot teda hu.)
"Because I am a little cracked, up in there....", he said referring to his cracked brain.
"Hmm."
"Hmm. Now you tell me something. What do you think about?"
"Main sochti hu ki...." I sigh in between, "....main kaha phas gayi."
("I think that...." I sigh in between "......what MESS/TRAP have I got myself into")
"Kyu?? Maine to nahi phasaya tumhe," he muttered in a teasing voice. (why?? I didn't trapped you)
I bet he is smirking right now
"Khud hi phasi hu main.....naa chahte hue," I sighed.
(No...I am the one responsible for getting myself into all this....unintentionally)
"I think you too are not responsible for all this... Look, it has happened many times. When we used to talk on call before?"
"Hmm." My heart swelled up remembering those times with him.
"Half an hour, or sometimes one hour in a day."
"Hmm."
"I also used to have those thoughts about you, you know?" he murmured in his deep voice.
"Achha (Ohh)," I mumbled, getting weird butterflies at the same time.
"Yeah, I did. I'm not an angel that I won't get 'em. Now tell me, what should I do?"
"Hmmm," I hid my face in my knees.
Same Murat same. I also used to daydream about kissing you.
"So, just cut the root of those thoughts."
He spoke after a few seconds, "and you know that boys get turned on faster than girls."
"Hmm."
"But girls are wilder than boys," his voice told me he was smiling.
I chuckled, feeling exposed.
"Am I right? I know about this."
"Yeah." I smiled.
"Boys tend to release their feelings as soon as they get 'em. Whereas girls suppress their feelings, but when they get into the mood, they can't seem to get satisfied even after hours."
"Hmmm."
This boy is well-informed
"Isn't it?"
"Yeah"
"Now tell me. Who's at fault here?
Badnaam ladko ko karte hain (Boys are being ill-famed)." He paused, then continue with his mimicking girls' dialogues, "Oh you have a dirty mindset. I loved you with all of my heart, but you just want my body."
I laughed at his mimicry.
I'm enjoying trolling girls with him.
Wow
"What's all this nonsense dude?"
Here we go again.
"What should that guy do? Just tell me this, if he's getting attracted to his girl, what should he dooo? Spoil up his health?"
"Hmm. I'm understanding it" I replied smilingly.
"Samajhna chahiye!"
(One should understand!), he said with so much passion, that made me laugh again. As if he's some sort of victim and is raising his voice for his community lol.
"It's a complete stupidity," he said, for the hundredth time in an hour.
"Hmm I know."
"Anyways, what's up?"
"Getting Vitamin D" I said nonchalantly, referring to the warm sun rays.
"Vitamin D," he mumbled.
"You're still there or gone?"
"I'm dead and gone," he said sarcastically
"I asked if you're still there on the terrace or gone downstairs?" I smiled at his lame humor.
"Still there. Listen, I'll call you back in 5 minutes after reaching my friend's house."
"Achha." (ohkay)
"Hmm keep your phone to yourself."
"Sure."
And he cut the call. I looked at the screen, flashing our call duration.
01 hour 12 minutes 36 seconds.
My lips curled up unknowingly and I closed my eyes.
How am I going to get out of this mess?
.
.
.
I walked around the terrace waiting for him to call back when mum came up on the terrace.
"What are doing here alone?"
"Nothing just having a call..."
....with an idiot guy who has my heart?
"It's 3 pm already. Don't you have any preparation to do for today?" she flipped the clothes in the sunlight on the hanger.
Oh shit!
Today's the wedding.
"Umm yeah, not much."
"Set your things to avoid last minute rush."
"Yep. I will." I looked down, playing with my jacket's button. The weather was getting cold day by day.
"Lunch's ready, come downstairs," she said while climbing down the stairs.
"Yeah, just 10 mins," I said as my phone started vibrating again. "Hello?" I picked up after reaching the farthest corner of the terrace.
"Jii," his voice melted in my ears. (yeah)
"I need to go in 10 minutes," I informed him.
"For?"
"For lunch, and to prepare stuff for today, you know? So I don't run after things in the last moment," I chuckled at the end.
"What's today?"
"Arey, my friend's wedding."
"Oh, it's today. Congratulations to her."
"Yep."
And just like that, our 10 minutes conversation turned into a 30 minutes one.
